Rated 5 out of 5 by Wwltn from Very nice product and extremely low cost My first bath tub Instalation ever. Product was very easy to install once first stage of the framing adjusted. Was worried about the wall panels being flimsy once properly installed by MFG recommendations I am impressed walls are sound. I chose to use a all in one shower panel with tub spout opposed to installing the standard shower and tub fixtures. I highly recommend this product. What is most important is that my wife loves the American Standard curved saver tub and wall panels.

American Standard Saver Bathtub
Rated 3 out of 5 by RM80 from Tub Lip Issues Wish I read the first review a couple of days ago. Same problem with the tub spout.
American Standard Saver Curved Tub
Put new valve in got my holes cut and went to install the spout and it wouldn't sit flush. The valve instructions say to put the spout 4' above the top of the tub (I hit this to 1/8') but the top of the bottom flare to this surround starts at 3.5' or so. Long story short 1/2 the spout sits on the flare, half sits on the flat surface so now there is a 1/4' gap I don't know what to do with. My fault for not looking but a pretty dumb design. Make sure you set your rough in for the spout above the bottom flare in the surround, about 5 to 6 inches above the tub.
Instructions should have a warning about this. Also, this is probably good for the new homes but getting the studs and adding additional studs per the instructions took a lot of effort. If I had to do it over again I would buy the green board and tile. I was trying to save some time with this system but it is going to cost me more.
Also I have no idea how to fix this, suggestions are appreciated. Overall pretty sold though. Look flimsy out of the box but tightens up pretty well when installed (probably from all the studs/glue). I did foam the shelves which made them more solid. Rated 1 out of 5 by DisappointedBuyer from Water accumulates on the ledges of tub I fully expected that after 140 years of existence, American Standard would know how to design great bath tubs. Unfortunately, this bath tub (American Standard’s Saver Integral Apron Bathtub) does not reflect that experience.
I had a professional install this tub and the shower walls that you can get with it (Saver 60 Inch Tub Wall Set). The installer made sure the tub was level and the walls were connected correctly. He explained that the edges of the tub have a 'splash guard', so to speak, which sit behind the shower walls.
Since the walls hang in front of the splash guard, caulking is unnecessary. That sounded like a nice feature.
The problem with the tub is that water accumulates around the edge, or ledge, of the tub and doesn’t drain naturally. So after a shower, the ledge of the tub is full of standing water all around the tub. That never happened with my previous, old tub. The water always naturally drained down into the tub, probably because the ledges of my previous tub gradually sloped downward toward the interior of the tub. The ledges of this American Standard tub are flat so that the water just stands there.
Since the American Standard tub requires no caulking, the standing water gets underneath the walls, so I worry about mold building up there. I try to get rid of the standing water by “swiping” it off the edges with my hands, and I am able to splash some of it into the tub, but I just seem to push the rest of the water around the tub’s edges. The water’s surface tension also works to keep the water “stuck” between the bottom end of wall and the tub’s ledge, making it harder to get rid of. This is not what I expect of a company like American Standard. I don’t enjoy having to spend time after each shower “cleaning up” American Standard’s mess. It’s like buying a brand new car that leaks a quart of oil on the garage floor after each use. Does American Standard have any solutions for this problem?
